I was just wondering if there was anyone from Central Illinois USA. I have heard there is a Peoria Origami group but was wondering if there was anyone in the Bloomington Normal area?

Central Illinois folding group in Peoria

This is in reply to Origami 78 asking about folders in Central Illinois. YES, and there is even a group, OPA (Origami Peoria Area) that meets monthly at the Peoria Public Library's Downtown location. We meet on the third Thursdays, at 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm. There is one member who lives in Bloomington and drives over. As to the location of Central Illinois, I, not sure there is one. However, one of the local TV stations calls itself, Heart of Illinois, and our local State Fair is called the Heart of Illinois. Peoria, is nearly halfway between Chicago and St. Louis. We'd love to have you join us.
Origami Peoria Area meeting update

We still meet monthly on the 3rd Thursday of every month. This September will be year 4 !!! Due to construction at the Library, we are meeting at Trinity Lutheran Church, 135 NE Randolph, just up the hill from the Public Library. Meetings begin at 6:30 pm and go to about 9 pm. However, we will NOT meet in August, as I will be going to my first Origami convention, in Columbus, Ohio, called Centerfold.
