What do you mean by central coast? Like San Francisco? Because I live near Sacramento, which is kind of close... And there is the B.A.R.F.

And I love your signature :D I never thought of it in that way, and now when I see it, I'll think of mc

I went to UCSB. Lived in Isla Vista/Goleta for four years. Moved back to The Valley last year. There were no groups up there. The closest groups would probably be the ones in the LA area. There's one the 4th Sunday of every month in Beverly Hills. Depending on which part of the central coast you're in, that could be less than two hours away. :)

Check out the OUSA local groups list and see if there's anybody near you:

I will warn that some of the groups listed may not be running anymore-- there was a Sacramento group that I tried to contact, which had apparently been dead for years. They finally took it off the list about six months ago.

I used to be a member of that group (back when I was an undergrad at UC Davis), I'm sad to hear that it no longer exists.

Well, several people in the current group were in the previous one-- I gather that the previous one fell apart because nobody had time to organize it any more. I ran into several of them at PCOC 2009 and volunteered to organize, and they were happy to show up
