At first I got asked to make Roman Diaz's Fractal, so a Christmas Card could be made out of it. From one thing came another and this is the result .

I had made Ichiro Kinoshita's "Brick Fireplace" earlier this year and thought I should decorate it for the season!

That's a great looking rooster, Gachepapier! What kind of paper did you use? I remember attempting to fold the model from 70x70cm 80g/m² kraft paper, but it ended up being too thick to fold (-good thing I didn't use elephant hide, like I first intended!)

Thank you ! The paper is thin lokta, roughly 30g/m^2, a bit over 70cm - and it did not feel very thin or large at all by the time I got to fold the neck I actually wanted to fold from 1m, but I messed up a sheet that I'd meant to glue to this one (I ripped it apart as I was about to put it to dry after MCing it )

you might consider calling the scorpion something else, joshua (for instance, just scorpion). i believe lang coined the term specifically for a scorpion designed to have VARiable LEGs (i.e., there is no such species in nature, and when you call it that, you make it seem as it your work is either derivative or inspired by it... in which case something like scorpion inspired by lang's scorpion varileg seems more fitting).
