Warthog

Designed and folded by Quentin Trollip from an uncut square of gray washi, painted white on the opposite side.
Fully closed-back, mane, top and lower tusks (color-changed), both sets of warts, facial hair (color-changed).

According to African legend, Warthog was not always so ugly...here is a shortened version of the legend.
Warthog was a very cocky guy, and nobody in the veld really liked him. One day he was out and about doing his usual business, when porcupine saw his hole and though it looked like a comfy place to snuggle up for a few hours away from the hot African sun.
Meanwhile, warthog was teasing the other animals in his usual manner, when King Lion decided that he had had enough and scared the wits out of warthog with a huge roar. Warthog made a bee-line to his hole, not expecting porcupine to be in there, and ran with his face right into porcupine's pens! It was excruciating, and worst of all, the other animals didn't even help warthog to pull out the pens. Ever since that day, warthog has had the scars on his face and has also become a much more humble animal.
He also learned his lesson not to crawl face first into his hole, and now always crawls backwards into his hole!

Thanks Arun! I grafted my older 'scream' mask onto a ghost base.

the first few times i did this model, i was fixated on doing it with foil, as i thought the foil would be necessary for holding the shape. actually, it's much easier with kami. the head is slightly different from the diagrammed version, which i actually don't like--it's hard to achieve a thin neck than with the cp version of the head.

No offense to you Josh, but though this looks extremely hard and way out of my trajectory, I don't like models like this that don't look that clean. It is a amazing fold, though.
