Sea Serpent help

Yo!
I didnt know where else but here to post, so,
Can someone help me with adding these design changes/(suggestions of yours) to this model? (this model is my design, btw)

My idea for V2 (for sh!ts and giggles...)

Firstly, I would suggest moving back from the model when you take a photo of it. Most cameras (lenses actually, but if the lens and camera are permanently connected it's a moot point) have minimum focusing distances of about 50cm/1.5ft. So, step back and make sure the model/writing is in focus. If you want the model to fill the frame, you can always crop it later.

Secondly, I actually think that the first design is better. The second version just has too much going on for my liking.
I do agree with one of your notes, though; the closed back.

I would keep the general shape, even if you add more details. The usual dragon features would be nice, too - mouth, whiskers, horns, ears. Maybe some scales. Larger wings/fins. A larger tail.

Thanks Ben, but the second version was the uh, outline, you could say.
hence shits and giggles in brackets.

I also might try this whole "real dragon' like Satoshi`s, still incorporating scales and spines into it.

You could try distributing flaps on the first one to give it legs. I think that might look cool. And I agree with ben, the first looks much better.

If you happen to have Tanteidan Magazine 59, you should fold (or, at the very least, look at) Fumiaki Kawahata's dragon head.
There's a bad photo of a good fold here.

Of course, this is my idea of what a sea serpent is; something very similar to an Asian dragon, only with fins instead of arms and legs.
If you ever played Final Fantasy VIII, the GF Leviathan is close.

A cross between a dragon and a fish, I guess.

If you have a different idea of what a sea serpent is/should be, then you'll have to incorporate ideas that fit in with that.

You could try adding a hump in the middle so it has more of a sea serpent shape

I think that could easily be done with 5 crimps, instead or changing the cp completely.

I think the spines on the back of your old V2 look pretty cool. You should definitely try to do something with that. Maybe you could get a more serpentine shape by using a long rectangle for it.
For your new V2, maybe try getting a longer tail?
