Help kawasaki rose (new)

Yes, itÂ´s one of the simplest versions around.

Boah, this video is brutal. Have you seen what sheÂ´s done to the paper? The part where she was sticking the pen inside was like if she wanted to kill it

i tking that is the original kawasaki rose deiagrammed on http://www.danoftoasters.org i have completed the rose k-rose v. 2.3 on my first try after only 3 months of doing origami aned i was wondering if that is good progress

I think it doesn't matter at all how long it takes you to be able to fold something. What's more important is how nice you are able to fold it. A crumpled piece of Kawasaki rose wouldn't really count that much...
So if you really want to have your progress judged you should post a picture of your result

It took me 4 weeks of origami before i could make one, and i was so excited i immediately looked up a lot of different models

My roses aren't perfect, but i'm happy with them. I'll add a photo as soon as i've found the cable to connect the digital camera and the PC...

ItÂ´s the "new" or "angled" one diagrammed for example by Winson Chan.

i found the diagram and immediately made it. With the youtube film i succeeded , but it a bit crumpled.

i've been trying to make a kawasaki rose for a while now, but i can't seem to understand the last few closing/locking steps.

this is what i've come up with; can anyone tell me what i've been doing wrong? it's almost like it's squashed too much and the base is absolutely ruined?

Acctually, it looks like you didn't squash enough.

In the picture of the bottom of your rose (the second one) it looks like you folds are not along the creases.

Take for instance the top left. There are no crease lines that the folds are following. The bottom of the rose should be a square.

Hard to describe, you just have to follow the creases and remeber that the bottom folds flat and should be square.
