Hmm I think this collapsing method use is the cleanest for ry 3.5 cause this ways you don't have to spend lot of time trying to shape shoulder scales in the way that's shown in WSCO...It might be a bit more time consuming method but it works great.
But again if you you are really good at shaping scales you can make it with Kamiya's way... Froy 's ryujin is a great example, It looks very clean and every scale looks identical. On the other hand you have Kafar's ryujin which looks as good as Froy's and uses the method I use now...
Anyways I'm actually recording my self while folding so I will make time lapse video when I'm done with it
So I think the head for the 3.5 can be done with your video, I just have to figure out which parts in t he video are different, which is going to be annoying. Or, I could do it like most people from cp. Doesn't matter.

Only change whiskers a little bit...I will make photo diagram about how to change 2.1 head in 3.5...

96.
By the way, I have an announcement (for the few people that actually follow this thread ): Operation Ryu Zin has finally commenced! Paper is ready to be folded. If you want to see progress pics, I'll be updating my Flickr whenever I make any progress.
@kareshi
I already have everything figured out. I have the paper, done test folds of the scales and head, and plan on making the other parts this week. Its cut in two, not counting overlap, 60"x30" rectangles. I have a large folding space ready. I have lots of time to work on it. Whats left to consider?
That in all your posts, there's no evidence of you having folded anything.
If you are planning on test folding the other parts (shoulders, legs, tail) then for sure, do those. Perhaps share your progress photos for constructive criticism?
More than happy to! But like I said before, I am really bad with technology. I don't have the cord to connect the camcorder to the computer to upload them. The only other way than that is to upload from my smartphone, which might somehow be able to upload from its gallery. I might be able to figure it out though. I start school back up tomorrow, but sometime in the afternoon tomorrow I will find out how to or find the cord.
EDIT***
I figured it out from my phone. The only way to upload from my phone is through facebook or email so I can now email the picture to myself, then log in on the computer. I will post the dwarf base and my progress on the banana man sometime.
I recommend folding the 2.1 before the 3.5, you learn so much about the folding sequence and it takes half the time. So what I think you should do is this: fold the 2.1 from your 80cm Kraft paper, then find a really thin and strong paper that shapes well (unlike Kraft) and fold the 2.1 from that, making a nice, final fold of the model. Then once you're finished with the 2.1 find a larger ROLL of Kraft and tape a few together to make a huge sheet for your 3.5.
This will take a while before you fold a 3.5 but if you do it now with no ryuzin experience it'll look crap. There's so much to learn about the ryuzins before folding the 3.5, good luck!
Thanks! I'll try out the 2.1 first! Kareshi's teaching me individual parts on the 3.5 so I thought which one I should start with first, the 3.5 or 2.1.
We're all stories in the end.

My course is set up so that it stands alone and you don't need previous Ryujin experience, but go for it. At least it'll give you a chance to test out paper you might use for the big one.
