I somehow moved the grimps under the model to make the eye-area less thick. Maybe you could try it?

The eyes are not a necessity, it was just there to be done, but I don't think it looks less pig without eyes. Eyes do give some character to origami in my opinion, though.

of course details give life to models but those eyes are too close to each other, especially if you shape the head three dimensional. nevertheless this pig is going to be my favorite, because its a really good looking design.
those domestic pigs where always my favorites on my grandfathers farm. the pigs and the geese... oh how I love geese... and don't know why

Chris, if you make a smaller asymmetric squash fold for the eyes, they wont be right next to each other when shaping the head 3D - they will sit further back on the face.
Either way, as I said before, it's not necessary to do the eyes anyway.
