Thundergod

Post by kingdomwinds »

I have a problem with the thundergod in Tanteidan book 10. I have no idea how to collapse the circled part.

I know that it is a sink but the model will not collapse. I'm just trying to fold the head right now.

I'm at the moment working on a guide on how to fold box pleated CPs that might be helpful for you.
The first three parts are finished and available on the Origami Austria homepage in the articles section.
So long and keep folding ^_^

thanks for the tip, but when i attempt to collapse the circled area, the paper becomes inverted and perpendicular. so it looks very odd.

Does anyone have the tree theory thingy (sorry I can't be exact, I can't remember what it's called) for the collapsed base?

Fanatic's right. That is how it's supposed to look. 'Cos once you fold the arm flaps into half and then tuck it back along the axis of the model, the two long strips also then lie along the same axis.

Start folding, then! Have you been to origami.com? It has tons of diagrams.

i folded this model! Well, I think if you try to fold this model you should begin to fold from the leg up to the head because if you fold the head first, you'll see a mass of paper. ^__^ Cheerful!
