How fast can you fold a crane?

one night i was bored and had been folding acrease pattern for an atlas beetle for about an hour. i decided to take a break and time how fast i could make a simple origami crane.after 5 attempts i got 1 minute 2 seconds. How fast can you fold a crane??(dont cheat by having the paper precreased already.

for me two minutes and 18 seconds(not as fast as you but hey, i think it's good)

yeah at the start of the crane I try to collapse the preliminary base without folding the diagonals or horizontals. And ..... I came up with a new challenge that is hard to do but satisfying afterward

See if you can hold your breath from the start to finish of making a crane. It is horribly hard but possible.

my record for a clean and nicely folded crane is 60 seconds. If I try to go as fast as I can then it is 45

im the fastest i think (it doesnt look like a crane but hey, i did it in 27 seconds)

I think the more interesting question would be how fast can you fold it with only 1 part in a 100 error?

I've been down the road way too often of having something look like garbage (especially with foil, my enemy) because I folded too fast. Just folding fast is nothing, folding fast but accurately is amazing on the other hand!

Jeremy Shafer has a little entertainment trick where he lights a piece of paper on fire... then folds either a crane or flapping bird ... before the paper completely goes up in flames !

After my second try, I got 1 minute 10 seconds. Keep in mind it is not the cleanest crane in the world, but it is almost there and I honestly did all the folds with reference points (thats right I'm talkin to you Mr. 27 seconds).

I think I got under 30 seconds after I tried for a while.
I'm also pretty sure some japanese guy had a technique for doing it under 15 seconds or something, because I was disappointed at how slowly I did it.

jeez, I have to practice some more! But that is a good point: speed and accuracy. I saw a similar challenge on youtube of a previous OUSA convention where they had to fold a crane behind their back! Perhaps any of you have done that?
