After some reluctance to join this forum, I haven't been able to resist after all.
Why reluctance? Because once I'm registered I fear I'll be following quite a few threads here, and hence will be spending even more time on origami, rather than on my PhD.
Small info: My full name is Sara Elisabeth Adams, but Sara will do.
As a first post I might as well tell you about my ongoing origami projects:
Happy Folding
http://www.happyfolding.com features instructional origami videos, so you might want to check it out. I try to post at least one video a month, and thus far this has worked out. Keeping my fingers crossed!
There's also a gallery, and some other random videos. As to diagrams, not much. My first try is a primula I picked up somewhere, and couldn't find diagrams to anywhere. After some research I've come to the conclusion it's one of Mitsonubu Sonobe's designs. Eric Joisel also gave me some English diagrams for his rat to post on my site. You might have seen the same set of diagrams in Spanish on http://www.pajarita.org.
Oxford Origami Society
http://www.oxfordorigami.co.uk gives some information on the Oxford Origami Society, which I am currently the president of. Last term we met twice a week, but I found it cost me too much time to prepare two folding sessions each week. So this term we're meeting once a week. What really excites me is that the students have improved in their origami skills, and I can show them more challenging designs with every session.
Ah, but here I go again writing too much, so I better stop now.
Best wishes,
-- Sara
