Cuckoo Clock help

Post by AquaDragon »

In "The Complete Book of Origami," The Cuckoo Clock is started as a 1:7 strip of paper. But is the paper strip cut off from a square of paper, or a piece of A4 paper?

...Neither. For origami made from, say, a 2 x 1 rectangle, that is typically NOT just cutting a square in half, but attaching two of them together. So, say you would normally fold something of similar complexity from a 20 cm square; you should fold the clock from a rectangle of 20 cm on the short side. I would go with something like a 15 cm x 105 cm or 20 cm x 140 cm rectangle.
