i need some help on this new satoshi's mod of the phoenix:

it looks more simpler than satoshi's cp so i thought i give it a go, but i don't know where to start with, so if anyone can help me...

i don't do crease patterns.

that said, at least in this one, the divisions and landmarks are all clearly set out for you.

It looks like you just do this*, close sink, and then fiddle around for the head, wings, and feet.

Since it's so similar to Satoshi's, you might want to look into his phoenix too :P

Well, it looks like it's a crane base, but with half of it pleated instead of petal folded.

I made this model after I saw this thread and got a nice result, not to difficult but with a strong result, i could not figure out the asymmetry in the head and the feet, so I just made them symmetric.

I'm pretty sure the bottom right half is a narrowed version of the upper left.
