Hello,

My name is Gabriel Appel, I'm from Brazil, I'm 14 years old, I started do Origami a few months ago, I think it was between June and July, my first folded model was a traditional crane, I like a lot of doing modular origami.

So, it's that.

Happy Folding.

Printer paper is great for inventing a model (A3) Can I see the star? I won't push my luck and be cheeky and asking for those exclusive diagrams but yeah, even I haven't done Satoshi's AD yet!

I cannot fold CPs... it boggles my mind to think that people can. I would love to fold your star though, if you would like to send it to me :-) I might even find me a camera and post it when i'm done. Not sure if anyone wants to look at my newbie folds, but I've thought about making a thread in the gallery. I folded a whale with water coming out its blowhole since I made my first post, and i'm getting ready to fold a dragon.(both from Oriland)

Anywho... Cheers,

Josh(Norfi)
the diagrams are now online at my site.
its my first diagram so please don't critisize me if they are bad.

Also, i'm sure a lot of us would love to see your "newbie folds". Criticism helps you get better. (positive criticism of course, none of the "ew, that model sucks, you suck, go get a life poop head" crap)
My folding got way more accurate by me criticizing myself.

And yes, please do post a picture of the finished model if you can fold it! I will warn you, the diagrams are very...crappy. its a lot easier to fold from the crease pattern, in my opinion.

I would release the more clear instructions that I put in the christmas book, but I can't yet. and I don't have them on my computer anymore anyway :L

Check your pm's, i will send you text instructions which would probably help with the diagrams as they are somewhat unclear.

Hi. My name is Wojtek. I first did origami in 3rd grade (25 years ago). I don't remember which book it was that I got from the school library. Learned classic folds like the water bomb and frog. I was limited by the copy paper I used and eventually gave it up. I watched between the folds on Netflix about a year ago and downloaded some books. I enjoy complex models and want to learn to fold from cps. I learned that illegal PDFs are bad so I ordered origami design secrets and origami zoo by Lang. I also got a subscription to the latest tanteidan magazine(which are a little disappointing). These books are very expensive. And I want them all. Next on my list are the Nicholas Terry books. Is there a thread in the forum where people sell and trade used books? I've learned so much from this forum. I will be making a flicker account soon.

No bother with text instructions, those diagrams are actually quite good, for a beginner! (By for a beginner, I mean, "I'm being suprised at how professional those diagrams look when thoseare your first :D " not" ha ha, I'm sarcastic, those diagrams suck, get a life, whatever insult you put down there  " )

Hi! I should get some sort of image hosting account soon too as people are constantly after me for pictures and I know it's my fault that I haven't put on pictures.

Hi I've started origami my self in first grade. I'm actually nine yrs old :? When I was in kindergarten or so I got a book about paper airplanes and my mom helped me fold them. Now I do more complex models like the kawasaki rose.

Awesome! Real experience from years (full years!) i've only been at origami for a year and a bit. I started quickly and challenged myself a lot though so i'm at phoenix 3.5 level now although i haven't got round to doing it yet.

Hai guys! Yeah, ummmmm My name is Max (well), I'm 13, and I've been folding for a couple years now, my first origami book being probably a bit of a step up from most peoples first (If you're curious, it was John Montroll and Robert Lang's origami sea life). Within a couple months I was able to fold stuff like the cuttlefish and hermit crab from 15 cm paper, and got bored quite quickly as I couldn't find anything else anywhere that was challenging enough. I stopped for around a year, occasionally folding stuff, and then picked it up again last summer. Since then I've folded some of Satoshi Kamiya's models, he is a god, many of Robert Lang's models, and other various models. I've recently bought 50 Hours of Origami+ and Licence to Fold, and I am fully satisfied with both. I'm currently working on Le Tuan's Werewolf, and starting to design stuff of my own. I am very happy to have found this forum and am looking forward to talking with all of you! ^.^ Thanks! K bai!
