Re: Paper - Preferred folding material
put MC on it first, then it will be foldable.
mist green would be good for a praying mantis.

Re: Paper - Preferred folding material
thanks but i think it already has mc on it. i might do Manuel Sirgo Alvarez's version from bugs and beasts.
what size would you suggest? i was thinking 10 inch would be good.

Re: Paper - Preferred folding material
for a mantis? i have never seen Manuel's mantis, but most of his models are pretty complex. I'd say a good starting size for it would be about 15 or 20 inches.

Re: Paper - Preferred folding material
this is taking up a lot of space in the paper thread. we should make a new topic for this.

Re: Paper - Preferred folding material
it isn't taking up that much space. but its up to the moderators what to do with it.
even if you create a brand new topic, it will still make the same ammount of space this one does if you keep adding on to it anyway.

Re: Paper - Preferred folding material
only just finished the blintz frog base. making about 3 origami models at once in cluding shuki kato's "simple" dragon and trying to design another nyan cat.

Cool mantis! Another nyan cat? You aren't entering your own competition are you? My nyan sphinx is coming on ok, although i'm not sure what paper to use, which is why i'm asking here. Gwb origami can't help but i'm not sure what colour to use out of orange, black, pink, or scales
