put MC on it first, then it will be foldable.

mist green would be good for a praying mantis.

thanks but i think it already has mc on it. i might do Manuel Sirgo Alvarez's version from bugs and beasts.
what size would you suggest? i was thinking 10 inch would be good.

for a mantis? i have never seen Manuel's mantis, but most of his models are pretty complex. I'd say a good starting size for it would be about 15 or 20 inches.

as far as i know it is not that complex but i will try 15 inch.

with 15 inch you got some wiggle room.

i was looking at your website. your designs are better than mine and i'm like 6 or 7 years older than you.

thanks! :D the basic structure is a blintz frog base. i think your folds are cool too! the one in the picture isn't mine.

it isn't taking up that much space. but its up to the moderators what to do with it.
even if you create a brand new topic, it will still make the same ammount of space this one does if you keep adding on to it anyway.

only just finished the blintz frog base. making about 3 origami models at once in cluding shuki kato's "simple" dragon and trying to design another nyan cat.

Cool mantis! Another nyan cat? You aren't entering your own competition are you? My nyan sphinx is coming on ok, although i'm not sure what paper to use, which is why i'm asking here. Gwb origami can't help but i'm not sure what colour to use out of orange, black, pink, or scales

What colour should i use then? One of the original nyan cat colours or a deserty colour like the sphinx?
