Treemaker? Don't know what it does, but I should recommend Oripa for a general idea of what the base looks like.
Maybe the best you could do IMO is to take a piece of paper, precrease the whole thing and mess around with it until you find a satisfactory result XD

treemaker is basically the same thing but made by lang and probably more suitable for complex models.

okay, i did my first fold of it but it is so ugly every time i see it i want to throw it across the room.
