(I resent the implications.) Word- gifted (giftedness and autism meet each other at the far end of the mental spectrum. To give an example of how this works, both gifted and autistic humans find it difficult to communicate with "normal" people. They find it difficult because they have different thought patterns to the average person, and thus, a communications barrier is formed, through misunderstanding and so on.
