Re: Origami Pokemon
Hello to you all!
I'm a long time fan of pokemon and was wondering if any of the below pokemon have been folded already:
Luxray
Giratina
Reshiram
Porygon-Z
An early apology to Flame if I've excited Mr. Peeve by asking this.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Origami Pokemon
Reishram is one of the current pokemon challenges, (challenges forum, monthly pokemon challenges, wilsonorigami folded an awesome one on the most recent page) giratina was mentioned a page ago, luxray-no idea but porygon z has gaps in, so i don't think he's been done yet.
EDIT: i really shouldn't have said "he" for porygon z as "he" s genderless.

Re: Origami Pokemon
I couldn't find any picture of reshiram on the thread
Maybe you mistook reuniclus for reshiram by the name similarities.
But, if nobody has called it yet, I'd like to fold Luxray
He's my favorite pokemon, after all.
EDIT: The Reuniclus does look nice, though

Ooohhh, reinclus/reishram. Yes, that was the mistake. You put my very mistake into words right there. I look forward to seeing luxray! A colour change'll be hard, as he has stripy backs of his legs.

Re: Origami Pokemon
Gahahaha there's no need to apologize to Mr. Peeve, though Mr. Peeve would tell you that there is a fold of a luxray by AndroidRaptor somewhere on this forum, and he will glady find it.
EDIT: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b354/ ... 011707.jpg
However, this never means that a new interpretation of a pokemon can't be made--so Mr. Peeve has failed to hurt anyone! Hooray!

A tiny place to post my things. Enjoy~

Oh good. I am looking forward to seeing a luxray, nightburstlycan, if you are still going to make it.

Re: Origami Pokemon
I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how to fold the mane, but I shall continue to research origami lion manes until I find a way that I can incorporate into my model.
I also accidentally figured out a way to make a metagross using box pleats. I may continue trying to design it if time permits.

This sounds cool! I have also discovered a metagross-compatible base, but i'll leave it to Baltogamist to make the metagross-he/she was first.

I'm a guy,
And I forget the proportions, but they needed to be fixed anyway, so I'm going to start from scratch.

Re: Origami Pokemon
Awwww, you were doing really well with your first draft! By fixed, do you mean not changing every time you make it? I have that trouble. The worst one for that out of my designs was the batmobile.

Re: Origami Pokemon
I meant improving them. I was going to double the width of the graft, but I forgot what the ratio was.
I think I'll try 2:1+sqrt2 for my next attempt.

Re: Origami Pokemon
Cool! I am quite proud that i sort of understood the mathsy bit of that post. Normally i fail when it comes to technical terms.

Re: Origami Pokemon
As I type this, I just started on a Latias for a friend of mine's birthday. The color-changes might be tricky, but meh.
Re: Origami Pokemon
Naaaasty. Challenging though, and if you get latios, you can get latios really easily, so it's worth it. It's one of the many pokemon that you can just imagine in origami really well. Good luck!

Re: Origami Pokemon
Thanks.
The first draft really failed epically. I just need to work out the proportions though.
