Yoshizawa snail from Origami Museum I

I seem to be stuck on step 9 of the snail. I can't read japanese, so I am trying to understand what I am meant to do with flaps A, B and C.

Help please?

I have the English version of the book, so here is what the legend in step 9 says: "Fold ABC together down to the left on the mountain fold, as the arrow indicates."
