Hi everyone,
I'm new here, but I just want to ask for some help on the diagram of Brian Chan's fiddler crab:
In step 53, you have to collapse the model, but the diagram doesn't show the exact position of the creases, it's difficult to figure it out.
Did someone have the same problem recently and can tell me how to do it?
Thanks!
Oh, here's the part of the diagram: http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/ ... 3g6nnf.jpg

Re: Fiddler crab, Brian Chan
How i did is is I used the box on the left as a reference. the next box, to the right, is 2 units wide. start a diagonal crease going upwards from that, and use pre-existing creases to pleat it, and finally, fold it to the right.
good luck.
good luck.
Re: Fiddler crab, Brian Chan
Thanks, but after a bit of hassle I figured it out myself... Wasn't too difficult in the end, I just didn't trust the diagram enough
But thank you for your help anyway!

Brian Chan's Fiddler crab step 53
Uuh, yeah, soo step 53 of the fiddler crab. I've been hassling around with the paper a lot, and do not want to continue further until i'm certain of what to do. The confusion revolves around the whole collapse, I can't seem to pleat the boxes around the two diagonals, it addition to that I find it hard to actually close the model along the horizontal crease from the diagonal tip and swing it to the right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
