Origami for a baby shower/party?

Post by fncll »

Greetings! I am in search of some models to fold for a baby shower/party. Are there folds that are traditionally intended for such occasions? Any suggestions for models, new or old, greatly appreciated.

Robert Lang has a baby model in Origami Design Secrets, and Jeremy Shafer (?) has a baby on a bed.
After the fall, we rise.

If you want something simple (I was not sure if you need the models as a gift or as party souvenirs), here are some models that you might consider:

- The book Paper Creations Cards and Gifts has a nice pair of baby shoes and a teddy bear.
- Two models from Tomoko Fuse (book titles in Japanese, so I'm giving the ISBNs): Baby shoes in the book ISBN 49007474165 and baby in the book 4480873406.
- It's also pretty easy to modify a traditional shirt to get a baby bodysuit (see a picture here: http://www.artisbellus.com/2011/09/coas ... igami.html)
- Some simple animals, as long as you fold them in pastel colors (pink, light blue, yellow, green), like this ones:
http://www.artisbellus.com/2012/10/orig ... raffe.html
http://www.artisbellus.com/2011/04/east ... nnies.html (yellow ones, designed by T. Fuse are easier)

I hope this helps!
