Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Kareshi, when you first used the glue around 9:45 where did you put it? Was that in between the scales part and the repeating m/v grid? And I like your cat. My cats also have a fascination with my paper when I fold. Several of my larger folds have tiny claw pinpricks from when I was precreasing and they jumped up on the paper.
Malifold, here's how I figured out how to do the head: I printed out the crease pattern of the head on a large separate paper and managed to collapse it after trying a couple trys. Then I just fiddled around with the flaps and figured out where it all goes. And try to look at a lot of different closeup 2.1 heads. Good luck, hope this helps.

Give me one day and i will make tutorial of shaping head of 2.1malifold wrote:I need help with head shaping
I collapsed it and got this (omitting the far side)
How do I turn those flaps into mouth and teeth? I feel like there is an extra wasted flap or two in there...

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
First, the loose flap past the scales (the raw edge) is glued to the back of the scales, then the pleat between transition units and scales, then wrapping the scales around the body and gluing it to the other side.Carsen wrote:Kareshi, when you first used the glue around 9:45 where did you put it? Help shaping the head would be very much appreciated soon. I just finished collapsing the entire 2.1, and would like to start the shaping ASAP. I really only need a small pointer for how to get teeth.

Great Ryujin Djordje!
