Okay, I will have to clean the rectangles up a little bit to get them perfect. And do post progress pictures! I think everyone here would like them. I think what I am going to do is make test folds of everything, pre-crease everything, then start collapsing. I am going to tackle the head today I think.

So everybody, when they start pre creasing, begins by making a grid on the entire sheet of paper?

Yes, however in the mid section no horizontal creases are needed, only vertical. So all you have to do is count on the cp how many units from top and bot you need to precrease, and you're good to go.

What grid size did you guys use for the head test? I was thinking 28, but I might be wayyy off.

I always use 32, it's easier to precrease, and you can practice some scales at the same time.

How would a 6x6 grid work? O.o anyway I suppose a 32 would be easiest now that I think about it.

I made the tutorial for the head that folded from 6*6 grid :)

Its 2.1 head... You can fold 2.1 its really simular

Here is the CP

Or you can just change the ending of tutorial and turn it into 3.5...
Here is that CP for that as well :

Actually, Djorde's right. Look:

All you have to do is sink the waterbomb bases and make a 24x24 grid on the head. :D
We're all stories in the end.

but how would it work for the 3.5 head :? ? should we just add the extra unit on the edges and make the grid from there?

There really isn't much of a difference in the head of 2.1 and 3.5. Yesterday I was still not feeling good so I didn't start on the head, but since today is the last day of Christmas break for me I should at least get the test head done. But since they aren't much different, I don't think it would matter which I practice and test with.

It will Jony... Well you don't really need that extra half unit for test fold...When I'm testfolding the parts of ry it's not because I don't know how to fold them but I'm testing the paper hehe :D
Anyways I'm shaping scales on the shoulders now...

I see... I will try your folding method soon. Had no idea you were folding with pure tissue paper without any mc or anything - that's absolutely insane :P Great color though, we haven't had a green Ryu Zin in a while :D
