Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
How do you do transitons without the diamond above them, like the 2 on each side of bottom on ryujin 2.1? Also, how do you do the one that is in the middle, that leads into the diagonal?

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
The ones without a diamond are made with a diamond, but then the creases get eaten up by the 45 degree stretch.
The unique transition goes like this, basically-

-This is from my top-down collapse of 3.5. But you can get the idea.

Actually that unique transition unit is a bit different on 2.1...It looks the same like the one for 3.5 (the one Daniel showed )but MV lines aren't.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Ah, I forgot there's only one on a 2.1.
On a 3.5, the unique transition of the upper half is the one that matches the 2.1.

Thanks for the help! I collapsed the bottom base, making scales now.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Just thought I'd update you guys. I am done pre-creasing and will now start collapsing the shoulder scales. I have decided, because of time, to finish the bottom, skip making the top and instead make the head and a separate body piece just for my project. To cover the fact it wasn't one sheet, my dragon will be busting through a 'wall' of soda can tabs. This will be one part of my project, I am also incorporating other things like the Icarus and a few cardboard elements because, after all, this is recyclable art, and these are some of the most recyclable materials!

I've taken a break for a day. God, That dragon's hard!
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
To all you guys and girls who are spaming this thread for last 10 pages - please stop bragging what is your progress, or saying that dragon is hard, or saying stuff like "i'm gonna start .. today , tomorrow, never" this thread is to help people with folding this model, and to find sth on 112 pages thread is kind of hard thing - especially, when there are posts that doesn't bring anything to this thread - you have chat and private messages for that kind of stuff, or we can just rename this thread - "Ryujin - loose conversation" - and I'm not sorry for being hursh
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Agreed. The topic is meant to help people, so before posting think if said post is answering a question another forum member had, is a guide that will help people struggling on a certain part or something along those lines.
Posts updating people of their progress are quite unnecessary.

I actually don't care if you don't want any of these posts. Pretty much the entire website is going dead, and nobody is really adding things. Does it hurt you in anyway? Nope, and it's not really your place to say so. This is a big project, people need a lot of help, and people also get very excited when they make it, and want to post progress.
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
It actually does hurt, there are 112 pages in this thread. Posts about nothing but progress just make it 4 times more difficult to find what you need. And somebody who has done the 2 halves method for 2.1, how do you suggest connecting the halves?

Sorry, I'm a bit confused about how the website is going dead. It gets around 25 posts ( I think, don't quote me) every day. I'm also confused about how nobody is adding new things.Joe Ruperd wrote:I actually don't care if you don't want any of these posts. If you do feel that way, feel free to leave the website.
As much as I admire your selfishness, there's no need to say "I am done pre-creasing and will now start collapsing the shoulder scales."
As Kafar said, the thread is there to help people, not to make the writer of progress posts feel important.
Have a great day.

But seriously tho, there should be some level of quality of the posts in this thread. If you wanna share your progress, I won't stop you, but - at least post some images, because we'll be able to provide help/tips a lot easier. And if you use your Flickr instead of the forums to post your progress, the thread won't be spammed as much, and it might be easier for people to find answers. Just my 2 cents.
