Origami animals

Post by phindar »

My first post here.

I've folded origami since I was a kid. Just the models from books. I have never created anything by myself.

Anyways, I started this project: I want to fold the 12 chinise zodiac animals. But there are many that I can not find:
A tiger (could be a cat as I am just trying to represent the animal)
A dragon
An ox (I have a buffalo and pretended to start from there)

Also, the complexity of the animals don't seem to match the composition as a pig is much simpler than a rabbit, for example.

Any advice?
Any link to those animals?

Thanks for the help!

Nice! Thanks!

Does any one know if I can purchace the diagrams and not the whole book (maybe online)?
That because I have most of the animas that I need and, I got to say, nicer than the ones he include in his book. Not sure if I would like to buy a whole book for 3 animals. Well, rat and boar are better than the ones I have. but still...

The other thing is that I live in Mexico City and not all th bookstores ship here.

Amazon ships nearly everywhere and the book isn´t really expensive with around 11$ for a new one and Montroll books are worth the money.

T P Kong's page has some diagrams you might find helpful. I remember that at least he has a tiger.
