Indeed. I've quickly constructed and collapsed that base, but what next...? There is the head, there is the tail, there are places for fore and hind legs... that's easy. But how to shape them? That is the question.
A good point to start shaping: look that the distance from base "head" to the base "back" is shorter than in finished model, and the angle is different. You need to pull the head. Then forelegs will move to the tail and won't lie flat. For me that was the breakthrough
