Need alternatives to origami paper asap, any ideas?

Post by Hamilton »

Basically I wanted to make a buncha origami roses and there's nowhere very close that offers good paper so I am wondering if wrapping paper would be a good alternative.

If not, then what other kinds of paper that can be commonly found are good alternatives?

Thanks for any input!

i think copy paper with writing on it is nice. wrapping paper should be good too. i folded a dozen with 6x6 cardstock for v-day and i think they turned out lovely.

Marbled paper would look pretty too. And it's fun to make (at least I think so, but I haven't done it in years so maybe it's only fun when you're small and covered in paint and know you're not the one cleaning up)
