Struggling with a rhino

as far I can see, there is a problem with your starting point in this step. It is on the area I highlighted here in red. The edges should be straight, as the red line I drawed. So problem seems to be in a precedent step. I will try to get where was later.



keep trying, has to be something very simple.

Would it be possible for you to help with the steps from 57 as I can't seem to get the ears and horns and face looking right.
Sorry to be a pain but i don't think I am an origami natural

congrats you've reached the end of it.

for the head's details:
here we are on step 52

so you change the folds (valley for mountain and mountain for valley, hiding some of the flap under itself.

then you close the ears with a rabbit ear fold.

lift up the first layer to form the first horn (note that the model is slightly opened).

then do the same with the whole bunch of layers fitted together below, to form the second horn.

then to form the nose you sink a little the lower bunch of layers, making them to fit over itself (this is called trim fold), but only the base, so the nose inclines down and inside

to create the nose holes just lift up a little the superficial layer of that bunch (you can use a nail or similar)

to the ears, you can open them (they have two layers each one on the upper half):

finally, a personal trick, this model trends to open (many layers on each half of it) so I take the ones in the middle and fold them inside, to give it extra closing)

Around June, 2007, there was a post that showed how to collapse a Rhino CP. It was different than this one. With the instructions, the collapse was fairly simple, and it was left to the folder to complete the horns.

I don't recall the model or help, but I seem to remember that the helper said that he didn't like the model, but promised to show the steps for a friend, so he posted it for the rest of us.

I folded one, now I want to see if I can teach it to some high school kids.

PLs point me at that post, and pls tell me how you used the search function to locate the specifics. (I found the general rhinoceros posts...)
