Grant Morrison's time machine

Post by araknoid »

Does anybody know if the Origami shown in the dc-vertigo comic book "the invisibles" exists ? I can't find a picture of it on the net, so I don't think it's ok to scan and post it, but maybe there's someone who knows what I'm talking about ...

Oh and speaking of folding in general I was wondering if anybody has ever mixed folding with magic?

Funny you should ask that. Read up about Robert Harbin:

I had a similar concept. But I heard that one need to study scared Geo in order to be able to to mix it with other thing.

From what I know, it is possible that origami is a way to express SG, since it contain nothing but geometric shapes. But I'm not sure what is missing.

Hope that helps

yeah that's exactly my thought.... maybe someone has already made a cp with intentionally magickal shapes... or has collapsed some sigil...
if anyone is curious about SG there's a good book online at
http://www.ritualmagick.org/tiki-downlo ... ?fileId=54
but in order to understand it better it would be good to have some knowledge about qabalah, and as always everything that's written on such subjects should be read with an enquiring and steady mind...
expecially in the case of frater achad's works which are very controversial :)

Let's look at it this way: The definition of magik is to change nothing into something or to change one thing to another thing.

In a sense, origami IS a form of magik.

Houndini once wrote a book... or maybe booklet... called "Paper Magic" or something along those lines. From the pictures I saw, it was just making pleats into shapes, like hats.
