Origami paper

I have ordered works of Satoshi Kamiya and I cant wait to fold the divine dragon and the ancient dragon. Which paper should I use and where can I order it?

Good luck with your folding: these are some intense models! Because of their complexity the paper tears easily early on so tissue-foil is a great practice paper. So is foil wrapping paper which can be purchased at CVS or any office supply store. When you feel confident to fold a display quality model different handmade papers (that are strong) are mulberry, and hanji. Also origamido paper is probably the best. Good luck!

great job jared! i'm working on my divine dragon and hoping to finish it soon. I haven't been folding for a while.

Don't worry you'll make one I have no doubt. It took me forever before I could fold a satoshi model from that book

But I started slow with stuff like the swan on the water, then the stingray, then the pegasus etc,. Make sure to take lots of pictures!

im expecting it to come this week

a week ago i got an email that they sent it the week before and it usually takes two weeks.

PS is splash hard or is it simple but clever? i mean: "only" 5 pages of diagrams?

He probably folded down the chest. Don't know why, though...

Chocobo is not that easy to do, specially the legs (open sink madness) and claws (reverse fold abuse). I think it's easier to do it from CP...

It doesn't look like tissue foil.
Also same question for a similar video where he folds a bahamut.

I'm fairly sure he uses Lafosse's Origamido Paper, and if you have a spare arm and leg, you can get some yourself

I believe Satoshi Kamiya makes his own paper. Although, in 'Works of Satoshi Kamiya' it says he uses origamido paper for some of his models.

Satoshi Kamiya uses Origamido paper. He has his own special blend of abaca and cotton pulps that he likes, but he uses LaFosse's paper. (This is according to LaFosse's book, Advanced Origami.
