Anyone know how to make a flasher with out the ends messing up?

What do you mean the ends not messing up? And what flasher are you making?

The best thing I know to do is to try to compress the layers as much as you can as you go, so that the center will be as small as possible. Thicker paper will have more problems with drift like this but will generally work better for the model's movement.

The other suggestion is to learn to live with the imperfections. The important part is the action, not how clean the collapse is.
