I disagree. If you don't have anything useful or constructive to say, don't say anything. If you only say nice things then people get a very lop-sided view.Oruhito wrote:Well thank you for your nice comments. If you don't have something positive or nice to say just refrain from commenting. You didn't have to read the 'dull' post Anna so its your own fault.
Creating a name to differentiate non-folders is incredibly pretentious. Basing such a name on Harry Potter is even worse. I love the Harry Potter books as much as anyone, but come on. Sorry to shoot your idea down, but you weren't the first to think of it, and it wasn't a good idea the first time.
As far as I know, athletes, musicians, painters, etc. don't use a term for people who don't do what they do--why should origamists?

Musicians :: Drummers
Painters :: Rich, well-fed people
Sorry, bad jokes.
I have to agree... names like these sound like an excuse to discriminate or to put down. I know that you would never intend to do so but that's just the way it would look.origamimasterjared wrote: Creating a name to differentiate non-folders is incredibly pretentious.

I think all of you are taking this a little to seriously. I wasn't aware that this was brought up before so I'm not trying to copy anyones ideas. And I was only joking: do you seriously think I would want to create a nonorigami name? Sorry if you took it as discrimination but it was only a joke. And I agree origamimasterjared, that if you just say nice things people get a lopsided view. But theres a fine line difference between critiquing an idea and shooting someone down. There are more constructive approaches then
