that is a mech from macross isle. im wondering... what base are they using? it's written in jap or chinese so i cant read it. the base has too many wings and layers to be crane base. it might be the lily or something, but im nto too sure. can someone tell me?

For future reference, don't put a title in all caps-especially with no spaces-and especially with such a pointless title. Seriously. It makes me want to not answer your question at all. And I am pretty sure it is against the rules, so blame yourself if you get chewed out by a mod. And it looks like a blintzed frog base, by the way.

Thanks for changing the title-it is much better. I saw a crease pattern for a blintzed frog base on the webpage you linked to, if you know how to read CPs. If not, first fold a blintz base (fold all four corners into the center of the paper), then fold a frog base with the square (without unfolding the corners). Then pull the loose corners out and collapse them down. It is hard to explain in just words-if you have access to Peter Engel's "Origami: from Angelfish to Zen", his octopus uses a blintzed frog base. Good luck!

I made a video once to help someone with a similar problem. You just do the blintz (take all four corners to the center of the square). Then fold a frog base and then follow the video instructions on all flaps. The link to the video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DrHFj4cbKc
