Problems with racoon by Fumiaki Kawahata

Post by M3Mph15 »

I'm trying to fold the racoon by Kawahata for some time now. But I seem to make some mistakes. The diagram from John Montroll's "North American Animals in Origami" I have is in pretty bad shape. I can't see where the crease lines go along during step 10 and 11. I'd appreciate if someone could help me with these steps.

I have the book, and have done it plenty of times, but I am at the office right now.
When I get home I will check it and will let you know.

Sorry I took so long, but I didn't forget!

Ok, you said steps 10 and 11, right?
Here they go...

For step 10, valley fold and unfold vertically left side first, then right, using as reference the intersection between the horizontal crease made in step 6 (this line shows up when you unfold it in step 8) and diagonal creases in step 9.

That should do it.

For step 11, valley fold up horizontally the lower corner, using as reference the intersections between the vertical creases just made in step 10 and diagonal creases resulting from step 7.

I hope this helps.

Regards!
