Hi,

I live near Ghent and I'm 20 years old. I have to admit that I'm not a very skilled folder, but hey ... that leaves a lot of room for improvement.

I like modular origami and I've been folding some basic/intermediate flowers, birds etc. as well.
The most complex model I attempted is the Rat by Eric Joisel:

I should make a second attempt at it though...

There is another incomplete "Praying Mantis" by LaFosse lying on my desk for about a year now :)

Anyway,
I don't know any dutch folders as well so feel free to leave me a message.

I'm from Heverlee, near Leuven. So that is actually in Belgium 8)

I don't know any other people who fold, but that makes me the expert of course :)
I often say to people: "Give it a try, make that first crane, i'll show you how to do it" but they always reply they dont have the patience for it...

I live close to Ghent (Gentbrugge) but you will find that folders are thin spread in Belgium. I'm sometimes surprised that some know the word "Origami" around here. Unfortunately due the fact that I'm back in school (trying to get my A2 diploma because I ditched school 12 years ago in my last year) I don't have much time but this will improve now my exams are finished and I only have 1 subject left to do. Due shortage of time my skill level is not high and I struggle with a lot of complex models (but I can do the Kawasaki Rose :) ).

Herman van Goubergen is an accomplished Origami artist living in Antwerp (at least he was last time I checked).

yeah, I saw his human skull in a book somewhere but I never found any contact address back then (this was when internet was not very integrated here in Belgium). Wouldn't mind to have a chat with him.

Love to see the origami-madness spread in our country!
