Guspath Go's Fire Drake

Post by Surreal »

You can see a pic of it here.

This is one of the most beautiful dragon m0dels that I have ever seen. It represents everything that I like about dragons: long and slender... like a lizard with wings. I absolutely love it! I immediately tried to find diagrams or a crease pattern, but sadly I could not find either one anywhere...

So! I have a few questions for my fellow origamists, as I continue my pursuit of this masterpiece.

1. Is Guspath possibly a member of this forum? I searched for his name, but found nothing. But maybe he is registered under another name? It's possible, I guess...

2. Does anyone know him? Do you know if he plans to release a CP? If he does, I hope it's soon!

3. Has anyone tried to contact him about it before? I sent him an email yesterday (Dec 11), but I'm still waiting for a reply...

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, that is nice! At first I didn't think it was from a single square, but it is!! Very nice with the claws and all.

I feel the same way surreal i love the look of that sort of dragon. that's why i brought works of satoshi kamiya for the ancient dragon which is great too. :) :)

Also the fire drake looks like my avatar

look at these pics of the firedrake http://design.origami.free.fr/bestof/go ... edrake.htm
I love the one in black. I read in another posting that someone heard guspath was supposed to be coming out with a book but i don't know how true that it is or when it is coming out.

Maybe I'm just a dork but it reminds me of Sir Leopold from Dragon Quest VIII, though it's a dog.

But yea, it's a shame so little of his work is documented. I tend to not believe rumors about books coming out because 1) I don't want to get my hopes up and 2)it's a pleasant suprise when all of a sudden it's suddenly available, haha.

not that i'm a master of cp or anything... but i am willing to wager the fire drake is not far off from his gryphon. so if you can figure out his gryphon, you might be able to figure out the fire drake.

that is exactly what i was thinking since i am working on collapsing the base to his gryphon right now. The legs tail and wings are the same basically- it's the head that is different. But then again it it the head for his dragon that i really like so -eh i will have to fiddle around and see what i can come up with
