Next time try to be clearer when naming your post.
Step 5 tells you to take the edge of the model and align it with the horizontal line shown there, thus forming the crease shown as a valley fold on step 5. Then repeat on the other side.
regarding step 6 I don see where that creases comes from, sorry

Simple angle bisectors.
You are putting creases at 45 degrees to the crease that you made in step 3.
In step 6, you are using the crease made in step three, and the second fold is made through where the diagonal lines intersect with the vertical creases.
This is a rather complex model - you may wish to have a go at simpler models if you are getting stuck at step 5...

I once set up an origami PLC. But the business folded.
