Wu's 3D Star. Any idea how to make this?

Wu's 3D Star. Any idea how to make this?

It looks very similar to Phillip Chen's Omega Star, but it's closed up entirely. I can't figure it out. Any ideas? Has someone figured it out?

I think the star is made from 12 modules. Here is what I have come up with when seeing the picture above: http://www.origamiaustria.at/diagrams/modular_star.pdf

No, It's not.
The Omega Star has 12 corners, this model has 8.

To me this kinda looks like a stellated octahedron from the book Origami Polyhedra for Beginners.. I could be mistaken, because has anyone heard of the stella octangula, it kind of looks like it, except the stella octangula has equilateral triangles while this star like octahedron has longer points forming iscoceles triangles. Tell me how it works out! 8)
