The cp of 3.5 was on the model name card at OUSA 2007 as well. Though, I was not able to take a good photo of it. It was a very busy CP, hard to see the paper for the ink of creases in some spots.

i couldn't either but i drew it out on a GIANT piece of squared paper.
and nobody ask for that cp. i think it is copyrighted.

Well, if you saw it on display there's nothing against showing a photo of this display. That's at least what I think.

At OUSA 2007 a Ryujin 3.5 CP was displayed but it was just the head. You can find the CP online.

I was there when someone asked Kamiya about the CP and he said it was only for the head. He also said that if the CP were complete, it would be at least 3 times larger than the one he showed (meaning that is was only one fourth of the whole thing)

I see, that was quite complex for just the head... When I think of the Ryu Zin, I think of Lang's carp, and that reminds me of the legend of the dragon gate. Its said in China, that any carp able to go over the gate would become a dragon. The moral of the story is determination, which both models require in the end =p.

Ryujin and Lang's carp and similar models have scales, so such models are toilsome, but are they really difficult? Number of steps do not guarantee difficulty of the model it should be only many many easy steps, so it will be toilsome and frustrating but overall easy. Hard models are Harbrin's or Yoshisawa's model - what needs big practice and interpretation.

since this is a singular structure requiring only one sheet, the structure of the body influences the structure of the head (cephalothoracic). That said, I think everyone would need a close examination of the entire CP before they were able to provide clear instruction on the head

The CP of the head includes a little bit of the neck as well, so the connection between the head and the body and head is taken care of. I haven't folded the CP, but from looking at it that shouldn't be a problem.

It was a joke, Jonny. Try reading rdrutel's reply again. I quite enjoyed it.

Also, ryuzin_origami, the only display of the CP as far as I know was at that Toronto meeting. This would mean that you have seen face-to-face almost everyone who has seen this CP. I can't presume that the number of people who saw the CP and would have any chance of understanding, let alone folding it was that high. Saying "I have this exclusive thing, can someone please help me" is kind of, well, you're dangling valuables in our faces and asking for us to help you.

So now we envy you. But envy is not the sort of thing that makes a person want to help. Just letting you in on some possible sentiments that some forum members may be feeling.

I'm much more interested in seeing and analyzing the CP than in actually folding it.

Wow...I feel like smacking myself now-I had to read it a couple more times before I got the joke haha. I guess that is what happens when our brain views something one way-it stops us from seeing it any other way.

The phenomena of the mind aside, I want to see this CP too...I generally just look at a CP to see the structure of something, but I might have to try and fold it if I can get big enough paper. If nothing else just to say I did it
