I wish I could make it on that weekend, but I have school! I would really like to meet you guys some day. Slightly off topic, but are there any conventions anywhere in the world in the next 2 weeks? I'm having my school holidays now.

When exhibiting, be prepared and creative for the label places. I'm still ashamed for mi display....
It seems this year convention is going to be very good. Quentin, Terry...
I hope I make it next year

My mistake
This year I plan on doing two things. One bring less. Two ask for more space. Even if I don't get the space I will definitely bring less. My display last year was to crowded and not all that easy to focus on. To much stuff brings everything down.

So I would recommend bring several of your fabulous pieces and space them well.

The vote seems unanimous - less pieces, good arrangements and good info cards to go with them.
Oh, another question, is the backdrop on the tables going to be black again? Maybe leave the black models at home??
Thank you
Quentin

You can always get some white paper or card stock (I think they sell that kind of stuff in NYC
) as background to display your black horses and bears, etc.
BTW, I think a progression of your horses would attract a lot of interest !
If you have the patience and space, I suggest that you take as many as possible, then cull them out on the display table...

I don't know who will run the exhibition now the V'Ann Cornelius is gone. I hope they're up to the job.
I will be attending for the first time in years. I prefer to teach, as I rarely learn anything I can take home. Clever simple things can be learned after hours, and ultra complex models are useless without good diagrams. It does little for me to take home a nice model I can't fold again.

May be going to Convention
I think I am going to the convention if I can get everything laid out here at work. This will be my first one to go to I am sure I will be in aw of it all. I would also love to meet some of the artist that I see in this forum.

									You can't just fold one!
does anyone know already what's inside the convention book? I submitted a model and I am curious if it was picked... Do they send you a copy if you get published?

Glad to hear that you will be going to convention !
Your website is one of my very favorites, and I appreciate all the
contributions that you have made to origami .
I am hoping that you can keep your eye out for new, worthwhile origami books to review !
Best of luck, and enjoy yourself there !

May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

Ahh... I might not be able to go to OUSA this year. Money is short, and I'm not old enough to go by myself without a guardian. See 'yall next year.

Well, it seems that the same goes for me. I hope to be there next year, but I can't guarantee anything (although my chances are a lot better).
And any flickr-ers that are going with camera's, please post all of your pictures from the convention on http://www.flickr.com/groups/ousaconvention/
