It IS crepe paper. I just call it tissue so I don't confuse people. It is also known as "artist's tissue" so I don't see anything wrong with using this term. This texture already exists beforehand and has nothing to do with the brush strokes.
I've fallen down, and I can't get up.

Isn't it very hard to fold with it if it has such a texture? I just imagine it to be very hard. Like I mentioned before the tissue paper that I have, doesn't have any texture but is completely smooth making it ideal to work with. That was why I asked.
In that case I also understand very well, why you choose only to take one layer, the paper will probably become incredible thick if taking more than one layer.

Two layers would have been thin enough, but I only used one because I wanted it to be as thin as it possibly can. By the way, how does the texture effect it's foldablility? It was a little difficult to crease, but it was probably because it was so thin. Anyway, I like the texture. It makes the model look more natural and realistic.

Sorry for the lousy photos. For some reason, red is very hard to photograph nicely.

The base is relatively simple, but shaping it to look like a real frog was a major pain in the...posterior.
By the way, I discovered a new special ability I have. I have the power...to...PREDICT THE FUTURE!!! You think I'm lying right? Well, I'll prove it to you by making a prediction right now! THE NEXT PERSON TO POST IN THIS THREAD IS....me](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)

Dang. Maybe I don't have any powers. OR MAYBE, I'm invisible! And the only person who notices that I exist is you!
Sorry for all this childish sarcasm but I would really appreciate it if more people would post their comments

The frog looks cool, could you post another picture showing the front of the frog?
One minuscule thing, but the head seems to be a little too big.

As you specifically demanded a response:
I like the hammerhead shark, but the picture quality is very bad. There's no picture showing the belly of the shark (I can't even tell if the amount of fins is right).
Also the front section just before the hammer looks kinda odd (probably just because it's not closed). In the front shot the hammer looks about right, however from above it looks like it's angled wrong (might just be the picture though).
Ok after comparing it with a picture of a real hammerhead again I believe what made me think the hammer looks odd was that it's not rectangular, but pointed on both sides.
Finally, apart from taking proper pictures I also suggest to photograph a decently folded model, unless specifically stating, that it's an early trial run model. I'm just a beginner myself, but I can easily identify several points which look like sloppy folding.
Ok, this sounds a bit harsh probably, but I consider constructive criticism a good thing per se and also let me finish with saying that your hammerhead sure looks very nice already
(Hint: Fold a few hammerheads from dark paper, fix them above a light blue background, light them from multiple light sources and try to reproduce a picture of a hammerhead school - like this one: http://www.sharkdiving.us/images/hammerhead/02.jpg - in origami
