Help with Dart Plane by Gery Hsu

It is incredible... I have folded every insect from Origami insects and their kin by Robert Lang and I cannot fold the Dart Plane by Gery Hsu in his book 'How to fold origami airplanes that fly'. I do not understand what he means in step 5-6 by "pull out flap". WHICH ONE?????

These are pretty darn bad diagrams!
Remember step one where he says to make flaps? What he means is to make a graft at one eighth of the paper. So just fold the outermost crease inwards. For the other two creases shown (middle and fourth) just pinch, you won't need them later.

Yes, I have nightmares because of those diagrams. Thanks Anna, I will try it as soon as I go home. I just wanted to say, since you are an administrator, that yours is a wonderful site. As you can see, I am from Puerto Rico and you from far far away, it took me by surprise. Wow jeje.

Now I know the flap that he talked about (I think), but I still cannot get it right. What I see at step 6 is an extension of the middle square (which I think is the flap that he mentions) but I have problems with the rest (the two bottom parts). My problem is not just the diagrams, since I have to learn alone with books or Internet webpages, I do not know much of the language that people use to explain diagrams.
1-When you say "fold the outermost crease", are you talking about the "one eight of the paper" flap from step 1?
2-When you talk about "the other creases shown", are you talking about the cross in the middle of the square? or are you talking about the bottom triangles (which have their own creases, or else they would not be there)?

I was in both cases referring to step 1.
These diagrams do not use the usual text explanations and are really poor drawn with some mistakes that make it hard to follow even for an experienced folder.
