for the record, here is a youtube video on how to do the "classic" kawasaki rose with a "tightly wound" center:

interesting. the crease pattern is clearly the kawasaki rose, but the sequence is not intuitive (i.e., i tried to start as i would with a kawasaki rose, but it just won't work).

i don't understand. it looks like the same thing--a variation on the kawasaki, except it is done in tissue foil, so it is more malleable.

It's similar, but not identical. I didn't go over your video at first, because I assumed that by "Kawasaki" you meant something involving an iso-area(-ish) twist. Thus, I don't think either rose really qualifies as as a Kawasaki variation.

That being said, my post was probably similar enough to qualify for redundancy. Sorry.

no problem. but the video i posted has a link to a cp. they are both still kawasakis.
