origami squid

Post by Squido »

OH HAI

I really want to find diagrams for an origami squid, something like this one (the one on the bototm) http://kazufujiatuo.ld.infoseek.co.jp/o ... _000_1.jpg (sorry, couldn't find who made it)

I have looked EVERYWHERE for these.

actually not even close, but enough that it seems like everywhere.

the internets are large.

thanks!

There is a similar Squid in Genuine Origami by Jun Maekawa but it is not quite as complex. It's actually a fairly simple model.

I think you are looking for a model more realistic than MINE.
Right?

Hey,
there is a very similar squid in "origami from angelfish to zen" by Peter Engel, very nice model, look it up,
and I found this diagram a while back, I think it's a cool model, and it's quite simple: http://w01.tp1.jp/~a150296341/02/02-3.04.html

Enjoy,
Peace

I made up a dollar squid.
(He's the one on bottom, obviously. At least I hope it's obvious.)

Also one from the "leftover strip" you get when you cut an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet into a square.

@d_music_master: oooh, that is a cool squid. if you could diagram that, that would be awesome.

@OrigamiGianluca: that is a nice squid too.

I would also like to make my own, but I am not sure what base to start with, or if I should start with a base at all.

thanks guys!

My squid is very simple.
It is made from a triangle (half square on diagonal) blinzed and fold a frog base.

To "blintz" is folding the corners to the middle point of the paper.

Isn't "Blinze" the Italian form of the verb to "blintz" ?
