Funny how it is similar to Nguyen Hung Cuong's eagle, as I was actually inspired by Katsuta Kyohei's owl lol. I did the claws the same way. Except the claws themselves are not box-pleated, they're bird bases, but that doesn't matter.

Thank you for your compliments :-]

I like the owl a lot. It distinguishes itself from all the other owls I've seen.
Your kingfisher seems to have a huge head and tiny body. Was it supposed to be like that? It looks very... wierd.

LOL yes you are right Sunburst, it does look huge XD

Mainly it is the camera angle, I will take another photo, but also I will modify the design. I'll post a side view, if you still think it too big, I will change it.

Thank you for commenting, Sunburst and Anna.

It kind of reminds me of a kiwi bird. I like it.

Crease-pattern for the base of my Owl/Eagle:

It may have mistakes, I don't fully understand crease-patterns yet :(

Visit my flickr and look at it on large size :P

Funny, the CP looks like a cross between Katsuta Kyohei's Owl and Seth Friedman's Eagle.

Thank you for your comments everyone. I folded some more thingies:

Kingfisher: is the head too big? I compared it with some real pictures and I don't think it is, but I may be biased :S Someone tell me the truth :(

It's the same design yes, because I didn't think the head was too big. But if someone disagrees, that's fine! :D I'll modify the design :) Thank you for commenting.

Eh, I thought I posted a comment just now, never minf, I'll just rewrite it

Nice shrimp, I like its gracefulness and life, you could add more details, however, that would compromise on its gracefulness.

At first glance the kingfisher's head does look huge, but when I take the time to look at some photos of real kingfishers I find that it's actually about the right size.
If anything needed resizing I'd say the feet could do with being just a little bit smaller and thinner.

Thanks for commenting.

I may fold a shrimp with more details...if I ever manage to get a piece of paper larger than 30 cm
