And a question: The picture you posted did you upload it yourself to imageshack, if so can you post the link on which site you found it, maybe there is some more info on that site.
You can make two sets of 3 petals like they show or follow the same folding method with a hexagon. Of course if you go with the hexagon you would stop at step 8. The middle portion for the flower in the pic you showed is just a bit of paper rolled up and then cut a few times and stuck inside the flower. Let me know if you need any more help
