Eric Joisel - Baby Hedgehog
Hello all,
I am having problems with step 9 and would appreciate some help?

I just can't get the second rank.
I need some mountain fold here and valley here etc as I am at a complete lost,
Thanks in advance
Suz

Thanks, I understand the idea and more so from looking at Sipho Mabona's pufferfish's. But my brain seems to be blocked.
I have attempted it for hours over the last few days and it just seems I can't think outside the box and get the paper to fold in the newt part.
I hadn't tried folding from the inside and I just gave it a go but still no luck.

Well, it's kind of hard to explain with text, but I'll do my best:
The corner of each waterbomb should extend into the middle of another. The top corners extend into the middle of the bases in the second rank.
I know that this probably sounds lame, but it's the best I can do short of making a photodiagram, which I don't like to make as they clutter up my flickr too much.

Nostalagic,
I have made a quick photo diagram for u,

I think it helps if u think about changing all the pleats that run down the model from valley to mountain, and vice versa.

Hope this helps,
Jerry

???
14.Carefully stretch every shape into the arrows configuration, so that the 5 ranks would form a curve. (in small sizes, small tweezers can replace your fingers);
Really cant figure out how to strech the paper without riping it...
Can anyone please explain?
I posted 2 pictures on my previous reply on this topic.

It is vital u do the pleats in step 4 correctly. Are you sure you have them right?
This picture shows the pleat need for step 8-9 marked in red.
you will be opening that pleat and sinking along the line marked in blue.
and the green line marks where you will be changing the valley pleats to mountain pleats.

Good luck
Jerry
