Thanks to Anna, my diagrams are now in a single file, and are in a much easier to read format. Here is the link to the new diagrams.

Just to clarify, The green lines are valley, and the red are mountain. It seems the dot-dash lines got lost somewhere in translation.
Also, the old, unformatted diagrams are still up, just in case.

Also, I note that you hand draw all of your curved lines in inkscape. There's an easier way, if you'd like to use it. Look at 4:03 in this video:

Thanks, but I actually used autoCAD to draw them, and used the spline tool.
I may download inkscape in the future though if converting to a nice looking pdf proves too much of a hassle.

I have begun work on a new design, a Therizinosaurus. I drew up a preliminary CP last night based heavily on Kamiya's Minotaur, and there was no way it would ever look like a dino. This morning, I completely redesigned it, test folded it, and ended up with almost perfect proportions, but with claws only about 1/3 of the size I wanted. Anyway, here is my test of Therizinosaurus 1.0, and a CP. Suggestions welcome, and encouraged.

Edit: Just realized there actually is a big mistake in the CP. The top right corner, in the graft, there's a bird base to make the mouth and neck feathers.

It's a good start! Yeah the Therizino's neck is a bit too long to use the Minotaur. Likewise its tail.

I'd try to give it longer arms, and yes, much longer claws. I'd also try for wider arms or extra flaps on them so that you can give them the feathered look. Shrink the inset square relative to the whole thing and look for a way to lengthen the arms. Use the larger graft for longer claws. The way you have it, that will also give you a longer neck though.

Well, I spent about 3 hours last night completely scrapping the current CP and finding a much better arrangement. After playing with the scale, I found something that folded into what I thought would never be a Therizino. However, as soon as I turned the computer off and stepped away, the solution became obvious. I tried it and I think that I have finally developed something immediately recognizable as a Therizino. No pictures yet, but I'll put some up as soon as I can.

I've been on a dino run recently. Here is the test fold of my latest design, a dilophosaurus.

And to those of you who only know them from Jurassic Park, the real ones did not have frills or spit poison.

My next fold of my Dilophosaurus design.

In the next version, I'll try to get rid of some of the excess paper in the neck, and maybe come up with a more efficient head design. CP in my Flickr.

EDIT: It is also possible to pull out some flaps to create color changed frills.

I always forget about my little topic here... Anyway, here's my most recent design: Klaha, vocalist of Malice Mizer. For the Japan challenge.

Really a pain to fold, and I made so many last minute changes to the CP that I have no clue what it would look like if I unfolded it. I have a semi finished final fold, but due to the lack of MC, it will have to wait a little bit.

This is the result of an informal design challenge from the IRC chat. The challenge? Design and fold a flying monkey.

The wings still need work, but other than that I really like this design
