Scales are not shaped, but it looks much better than my first attempt. It is hard to see the scales, but I assure you, they are all there.

Yup, I see the scales. That is awesome! =D>
the head could use a little shaping, but if you look at kamiyas he didn't shape the scales.

Good luck, topsu :D.

Also, Kafar, how's that 3.5 coming?
I said it earlier, but good luck again :).

Hey all,

I have been putting off completing the precreasing of my Ryu-Zin. (3.5 scale creasing is intense) Anyways, I am starting up again after only finishing half of the CP. As I am nearing the head, I am wondering how to fold all the creases around the neck area. Also, when you start projects as big as Ryu-Zin, do you do something else while you fold or do you just fold without any distractions like TV or music. I find that I get bored after about an hour of precreasing his scales. Thanks!

Hmm, I precrease the paper into 96 vertical, and 40 from top and bottom, and some of the diagonal creases for the head and legs, and after that I'm starting folding (not collapsing the whole thing)

Kafar wrote:there are two ways to make that Ryu Zin,
1. make all the creases and collapse the cp + shape head and scales,
or
2. gather all 7 crystal Dragon Balls and Ryu Zin will appear :P
ps. I think that the 2nd way is much harder :P
The 2nd way works and I have to say that Shenlong is a very kind guy. I asked for a Ryu zin 3.5 and voila! :P

Yes, they are amazing :D. Very well done - They are both superbly folded and shaped. Excellent clean folds. Did you use that mexican taco paper? (I think that it was taco paper..). Did you wet fold, or did the paper just naturally maintain that shape?

Anyway, very nice
