I was going to say that looks like Satoshi's original, but then again the tail isn't spiky, so yeah...

This is what I have for my Ryu Zin now:

Whisperpuffin: I don't have the original CP, but I can tell you that I'm using the exact same starting points for all the scales.

I agree with Chesslo! Great progress :D. Are you going to shape every single scale like Kamiya's, Artur's, or Froy's?

Anyway, keep going :D

insaneorigami: No, unfortunately I don't think I can at this size. I believe Kamiya, Artur and Froy all used a 2 x 2 meter square, I on the other hand am using a square just under 1 x 1 meter, well that plus even I am not insane enough:)

Haha, well, I don't blame you - what's holding me up is finding the right paper. I'm ready except for that, but when I do obtain the paper, I don't think I'll be doing the scales either :D.

You should still try out one scale in some inconspicuous area just to see if you can - I was just looking at your tiny 2.1 again on flickr :D.

Can't wait to see the finished model!

Nice! But scales should be shaped. (Or it is too small?)

Kijiakarn: Well, mainly the paper is too small (each scale is about the size of a 1/8" square), but also the areas I taped the four sheets together in the beginning are just too thick to add small folds:(

:D Five stars.....
Wait this is not you tube.
Wow any way good one. Five stars!
I'm specially stunned about the size. I like to fold small subjects but this one..... Any close-up? tail? claws? I see the head.

shuki, great work!
Never tried anything so monumental before, so dunno how it feels to do such a tedious piece!

my Golden attempt to the RyuJin 3.5

Post by dobradordedragoes »

Hi guys, although I consider myself quite a newbie to the Origami World, the Forum and FlickR as well, I've been struggling around Kamiya's Ryujin 3.5 and beside some mistakes I am pretty satisfied with the result. Any comments and/or Help would be really appreciated Hope you guys like it, thanks in advance. Ah! I've just signed up to a FlickR account, visitors are truly welcome ;D
